Story

SHHORN is an artisanal practice founded by Sean Tran.

We make garments, objects and environments for people who want something real, made of concentrated material and rigorous thinking.

The atelier where our work is procured. Here we make discoveries with our hands through material and process explorations. Observation is a critical part of our practice and is the way we find the unexpected yet inevitable.

The process of construction is incredibly important to us, as are the natural characteristics of materials.

How we do one thing is how we do everything, and this reflects the way in which we see the world - holistically. The distinction between our garments, objects and environments is blurred, and the things we make cannot exist without these arms working with one another.

Atelier

ATELIER SHHORN IS LOCATED IN A WAREHOUSE ON THE FRINGE OF SYDNEY’S CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT. IT IS A PLACE where all thought, drawing and production work occurs. It is also WHERE VISITORS CAN PHYSICALLY EXPERIENCE THE WORKS AND feel the ETHOS OF OUR PRACTICE through atmosphere.
